Founding Personality
Colin has always been a trim carpenter and remodeler, even when he was pursuing careers in other fields. Over his years as a broadcaster, he consistently worked in his home to update, upgrade, and remodel his own living quarters. That personality got pushed into the forefront when, in 2001, he began a new career with a local home-building company. In 2004, his employers urged him to strike out on his own and in 2005 Asheville Trim Carpentry LLC began, with co-founder Matt Auten.

Colin's dedication to excellence requires his equal dedication to the customer. He has pulled all-nighters to make sure that a business can be open for business as promised; he has accommodated clients' schedules and special requests; he has worked with contractors and suppliers to satisfy the tension between quality and cost. Colin invests himself wholly into his work, and you'll be able to tell the difference in his work!
